NBC's internal probe into suspended NBC anchor Brian Williams' reporting has found at least six more instances of "fabricated, misrepresented or embellished" news stories, according to two sources familiar with the probe who spoke to the New York Times. In one such instance, Williams told Jon Stewart during an appearance on The Daily Show that he witnessed clashes between pro- and anti-government troops in Tahrir Square in 2011, “actually made eye contact with the man on the lead horse,” and saw pro-government troops pull out whips and start “beating human beings on the way” around a corner. But according to NBC’s probe, Williams reported from a balcony overlooking Tahrir Square, not from the ground itself. Williams is currently serving a six-month suspension.
