Bristol Palin’s bid in the finals of Dancing With the Stars—despite the fact that she’s repeatedly received the lowest scores from the judges—is hitting some people pretty hard: A man in Black Earth, Wisconsin, had a 15-hour standoff with police after he fired his shotgun into his television set because he “was upset that a political figure’s daughter was on the show when he didn’t think she was a good dancer,” according to the Associated Press. The man, Steven Cowan, was having both money and mental-health difficulties. He’s been charged with second-degree reckless endangerment.
