It’s not paranoia if they’re really out to get you, as Julian Assange would probably testify after the latest twist in his continuing legal troubles. Although it was originally reported that Swedish authorities were responsible for denying bail for the WikiLeaks founder, it turns out he was sent to a London jail cell by British authorities. Although Assange faces sexual-assault charges from Swedish authorities, the Swedish prosecutor said the decision was made entirely by the British authorities and “we have not got a view at all on bail.” The British Crown Prosecution Service will issue a formal grounds of appeal for the bail hearing Thursday, but they are expected to say that Assange should be kept in prison until a decision is made to extradite him. Such a decision could take months.
