Once again, a fashion magazine runs afoul with its airbrush: The Indian version of Elle appears to have lightened the skin of Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on the cover of its December issue. Bachchan, a former Miss World, hasn’t commented publicly, but friends tell The Daily Mail she’s “furious” about the touch-up. “'She is currently verifying this skin-whitening allegation,” says one friend. “If there is any proof of this, she might even take action.' Elle was not available for comment.
