A British man was killed and his wife was kidnapped while staying at a resort in Kenya. The husband and wife were the only guests at the Kiwayu Safari Village, north of Lamu Island. A police spokesman said: “They do not have doors, those cottages. They are using the cloth as the doors.” Reportedly police saw six men taking away a woman in a speedboat. It is not clear who carried out the attack, but the resort is near Somalia and Somali pirates may have been involved. Officials do not believe the attack is related to the anniversary of 9/11.
