A British soldier is dead in Cyprus after being stabbed to death in a nightclub. Three British tourists have reportedly been detained after the incident at the Ayia Napa resort, where they are said to have butted heads with four British soldiers. The Ministry of Defence, which banned soldiers from the Ayia Napa resort after a killing in 1994, confirmed the soldier's death. 3,000 military personnel from the United Kingdom serve at two bases located on the island of Cyprus.
