At a Democratic primary debate this week, Elizabeth Warren was asked how she paid her way through Harvard, and responded, “I kept my clothes on” and took out loans—an implicit swipe at her rival Scott Brown, the incumbent senator who famously posed nude for Cosmpolitan in his younger days. Sen. Brown responded to Warren’s quip on Thursday morning, and his curt answer is already brewing a backlash: “Thank God,” he said.
