Brussels' mayor on Wednesday cancelled the city's New Year's Eve fireworks celebration after receiving threats of an extremist attack, according to the Associated Press. Belgian authorities said on Tuesday that they had arrested two people on charges of terrorism for allegedly plotting to attack Belgium's capital during New Year's celebrations.
