Burt Reynolds is selling 650 pieces of memorabilia from his personal collection, including his 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Coupe from Smokey and the Bandit. Despite his financial history—he filed for bankruptcy protection in 1996, was foreclosed on in 2011, and took a hit in his 1993 divorce—the actor says money problems weren’t the reason for the selloff. “I am simply selling some of my memorabilia that I have enjoyed for so many years but do not have use nor room for them anymore,” the Oscar nominee said. The auction, which is underway online, will close on Dec. 11 and 12.
