Hours after the Internet noticed the racist, homophobic, misogynistic, and classist tweets of Business Insider’s chief technology officer, Pax Dickinson, Dickinson has been forced to resign. Yesterday bloggers began digging through the tweets and comments of the self-proclaimed “brogrammer” and asking for an explanation from Henry Blodget’s business-news site. Dickinson’s topics included attacks on gay-rights activists, poor people, black people, and people who advocate for more women in technology. Business Insider released a statement confirming that Dickinson “has left the company, effective immediately.” And Dickinson is still tweeting, by bragging about how many more Twitter followers he's gotten and how his Klout score has gone up.
