Kenneth Lerer, the chairman of BuzzFeed, will host a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee in New York on Wednesday, days after the company announced that it will terminate its advertising deal with the Republican National Committee because of Donald Trump's incendiary remarks. President Obama is set to headline the fundraiser. The company alleges that the two actions are not related to one another. "My political activities are personal and have nothing to do with any of my business responsibilities at BuzzFeed," Lerer said in a statement to CNN.
