A mix of dry brush and high winds has caused a California wildfire to spread quickly, forcing roughly 3,000 people from their homes as emergency workers struggle to contain the blaze. Already six homes have been destroyed and 15 others damaged by the fire, which has made its way through 40 square miles of the Angeles National Forest mountains just north of Los Angeles. The thick smoke has made it difficult for authorities to estimate exactly how big the fire is, but it appears as though roughly 20 perecent of the blaze has been contained. More than 2,000 firefighters are on hand to try to stop the fire from spreading.
