As we head into some of the coldest days of the year, Cabela’s wants to infect us with its Spring Fever Sale, discounting select items up to 60 percent.
The store’s fishing-specific savings are packed with equipment like the Rapala Jigging Rap and customs jigs and spins and, notably, ice fishing shelters discounted by around $100, like the instant-setup Calm Outdoors thermal ice shelter or the more moderately priced ice shelter from Cabela’s Ice Team Five, which sports 360-degree viewing windows.
In the cooking and food processing department, we’re looking at a solid $50 discount on the shop’s motorized grinder (no hookups here, except to the wall outlet). Seal up the meat you don’t immediately eat with Cabela’s 15-inch vacuum sealer, whose sealing chamber is lit by LED so you can watch your meat more closely — always important. Stock up with the vacuum-bag rolls on sale.
And get lit in style through the sale’s home furnishing section. Standing classic oil lanterns should help you imagine the modern world has disappeared (it hasn’t — sorry). Get real animalistic in your cabin (or city basement) with lamp-sculpture combos like the whitetail deer lamp or the canine-favorite labrador edition.
