Just in time for Games of Thrones, HBO’s standalone service will launch next month, and will be available exclusively on Apple devices. It will cost $14.99 a month and will be called HBO Now. Just like HBO Go, it will have all of HBO’s original programming but without the need to have a TV subscription. Those who subscribe will get the first month free. The announcement was made by HBO CEO Richard Plepler at Apple’s “spring forward” event on Monday.
