Just as GOP candidate Herman Cain deals with accusations of sexual harassment, according to a Politico report, there are fresh allegations that the former pizza mogul may have overstepped the boundaries of campaign-finance regulations. Two of Cain’s top aides were also in charge of a Wisconsin-based private company called Prosperity USA that paid for several of the Cain camp’s expenses early on, including items like iPads, chartered flights, and trips to Las Vegas. “If the records accurately reflect what occurred, this is way out of bounds,” an election lawyer said. The question is whether or not Cain’s team ever paid back the now-defunct group—Cain’s federal election filings give no indication that he did.
