There might be another revolution taking place in Cairo Tuesday, but this one will be fueled by women. Cairo activists have planned a “Million Woman March” to take place in Tahrir Square Tuesday morning to campaign for more women in the new government, and pay tribute to the women who helped oust former President Hosni Mubarak. Activists decided to take to the streets for women after a committee made up only of men was selected to draft the country’s constitution. “Women in a democracy are a good indication of how genuine a democracy is,” said one of the march’s organizers, Aalam Wassef. Tuesday’s march will also coincide with International Women’s Day.
