At least eight people were killed and more than 30 wounded when a tour bus crashed on the road to Big Bear in Southern California on Sunday night. All of the fatalities reportedly came from the bus, which had 38 passengers, including children. Caltrans spokeswoman Michelle Profant said the bus lost control while going down the mountain and rolled over a truck, crushing it. It took rescuers more than two hours to extricate the wounded, and rescuers said the severity of the deaths made it difficult to identify the exact number of the dead. Personal items, such as backpacks and more, from the bus were scattered along the highway—along with debris from the truck.
