Call for Peace at Freddie Gray's Wake

Baltimore mayor urges residents.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake urged for peace Sunday, a day after protests over 25-year-old Freddie Gray's death turned violent. The mayor joined 24 Baltimore religious leaders to issue a "Call for Peace," asking residents to honor the city's "long tradition of peaceful and respectful demonstrations." Protests broke out Saturday over Gray, who died after he was injured while in police custody, resulting in 35 arrests and six police suffering minor injuries. Family members and residents gathered Sunday at a North Baltimore funeral home to pay respect at Gray's wake. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday at New Shiloh Baptist Church.
