Today in Slate, Jesse Bering considers a decidedly Slate-y question: can a religious believer and an atheist have a happy marriage? In the absence of real data, Bering is left to ponder hypotheticals. On the one hand, atheists like himself would do well to seek out a spouse who believes adultery will condemn her to hell.
