The political action committee of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin raised $1.4 million in the final six months of 2009, an amount that The Washington Post says shows the vice presidential candidate's fundraising power ahead of a possible bid for national office in 2012. For the year, Sarah PAC raised $2.1 million. "We are thrilled," said one Palin senior adviser. Those numbers are less than the amount being raised by former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, but aides say Palin did little active fundraising.
