Canada to Allow Doc-Assisted Suicide

Canada’s highest court has ruled in favor of doctor-assisted suicide—but only under specific circumstances. The Supreme Court of Canada moved to amend a previous law which prevented anyone from assisting in a person’s suicide. The new ruling will allow doctors to aid those with critical and irreparable medical conditions in ending their own lives, as long as they are competent adults who can clearly consent to it.
