After more than an hour on social issues and foreign policy, the GOP’s New Hampshire debate finally turned to the biggest issue of the election: the economy. Mitt Romney insisted his executive experience qualifies him to run the economy because he’s “lived in it,” while Jon Huntsman dismissed his rivals’ anti-China posturing as ignorant of the issues he worked on as Obama’s ambassador. He even spoke Chinese to underscore his point. But despite a few attempts to paint Romney as a Wall Street insider, the frontrunner's rivals couldn't land any big punches, leading most pundits to conclude he won by default.
