‘Captain America’ Actress Wants to Represent Herself in Mom Slay

An actress who had a part in Captain America: The First Avenger, who is charged with stabbing her mother to death, wants to represent herself at trial. Mollie Fitzgerald, 38, told a Kansas judge that she has a law degree and will run her own defense, the Kansas City Star reported. Patricia Fitzgerald was found dead Dec. 20 at a home in Olathe, Kansas. Police have not yet released a motive for her slaying.
