Captured Pirate Arrives in New York

Abduhl Wali-i-Musi was all smiles when he arrived in New York yesterday, despite the fact that he was there facing trial for his role in the kidnapping of US ship captain Richard Phillips. Wali-i-Musi, a teenager, is the first person to face piracy charges in the US in more than a century. In an interview, his mother said, "I appeal to President Obama to pardon my teenager; I request him to release my son or at least allow me to see him and be with him during the trial.”
