Carla’s Back On Top: The modeling career of former French First Lady Carla Bruni is quickly picking up speed. Billboards of her new headphones campaign are hung all over Paris, and now comes a new magazine cover--a Vogue cover that is. Bruni preens for French Vogue's January cover with a story inside that details how her, "generation doesn't need feminism." [Daily Mail]

YSL’s CEO Issues New ‘Open Letter’: Paul Deneve, president and CEO of Yves Saint Laurent, has written an ‘open letter’ to WWD in the style of Oscar de la Renta’s recent smackdown with Cathy Horyn -- and the paper itself has published it. The letter marks his issue a recent WWD article that compared Raf Simons’s Dior debut with that of Hedi Slimane at YSL. “I regret that the best-known and oldest trade journal in the fashion industry should reduce the collective talent of all designers showing in Paris to a so-called duel between two fashion houses and two men,” he wrote. Hermès Designs Postage Stamps: Hermès has picked up on the recent trend for haute stationary by designing stamps for Valentine’s Day, which feature the house’s famed “De Tout Coeur” scarf drawing. They’ll hit French post offices nation-wide on January 28. [WWD]

Miranda Kerr Might Abandon VS: Eco-conscious Miranda Kerr is reportedly reconsidering her relationship with Victoria’s Secret after non-profit organization, Green Peace, revealed that VS is one of twenty brands with a high level of toxic chemicals in their products. Levels of phthalates found in VS merchandise were reportedly so high that “if that product was a toy it would not be permitted in the EU.” Kerr, a well-known health advocate with her own organic skincare line, is arguably one of VS’s more high profile Angels, which could cause a problem if she leaves. Anne Hathaway’s “Gay Brother” Haircut: At a NYC screening of Les Misérables this past Friday, Anne Hathaway remarked on her short haircut for the film, sharing that she was nervous to shear it all off, especially just before her own wedding. “When I eventually looked at myself in the mirror, I just looked like my gay brother.
