Another blemish for Carnival Cruise Lines: the search for a couple who disappeared from the Carnival Spirit cruise ship has been called off, as authorities have determined that the two passengers likely jumped or fell overboard. The 30-year-old man and 27-year-old woman who had been traveling with family and friends were reported missing Thursday, after the ship ended its 10-night cruise in Sydney. “We believe that they were up mid-deck, which is halfway up the side of the ship, which is quite a way to fall,” the New South Wales police superintendent said.
