Ben Carson’s campaign-finance chairman resigned Thursday, following weeks of other departures. Dean Parker had just come under fire for alotting himself a monthly salary of $20,000, an amount that many political hands said was unusual. Carson said in a statement, “Dean has been a valued member of my campaign team and a trusted friend; I appreciate and honor Dean’s tireless efforts on behalf of saving America. Our significant fundraising success has been due, in large part, to Dean’s dedication and commitment to ‘We the People.’”
