Casey Anthony Wants to Make an ‘Intimate’ Reality TV Series: Report

A proposal for the show reportedly said it would portray “the daily life of one of the most controversial women in America.”

Casey Anthony apparently hasn’t had enough of the media circus and has been shopping around a reality television show about her life post-murder trial, according to the New York Post. A proposal for the show described it as “an intimate window into the daily life of one of the most controversial women in America.” Episodes would focus on Anthony, who was sensationally acquitted in 2011 for the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, “working, socializing, dating.” It’s still unclear whether any network will bite on the dystopian premise. “It would get a large audience initially, but what’s really that interesting about her life? Plus the backlash would be huge. Not worth it,” said one executive who’d seen the proposal. In 2022, Peacock released Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies, a docuseries dominated by Anthony’s weepy histrionics and continued insistence of her innocence. The series did little to illuminate the confused facts of the case and even less to convince anyone she did nothing wrong.
