A whole new generation can be terrified now. CBS Films has purchased a pitch to adapt the 1980s classic children’s horror books Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Oh and even more terrifying? It’s being penned by Saw writers Patrick Helton and Marcus Dunstan. The film will follow a group of children who “stand up to their fears to save their town when nightmares come to life,” according to Deadline. The three-book children’s series included Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and Scary Stories 3: More Tales to Chill Your Bones. The tales were taken from urban legends and folklore. Watch out for those weird dreams.
