The oldest Kardashian sister may not have an NBA star husband or self-starring sex tape, but Kourtney does have something younger her sisters Kim and Khloé don’t—a bun in the oven. Since announcing her pregnancy on August 12, the reality-TV star has received more attention than ever, prompted by comments that she forgot to take birth control and an admission that she has never changed a diaper. Unfortunately, responsibility cannot be bought from her dual registries at Babies “R” Us and Bel Bamini.

After months of media turmoil over whether Jude Law was the father of her child, aspiring actress Samantha Burke gave birth to daughter Sophia Lee on September 22. A DNA test last month proved that the Law is in fact Sophia’s father, but Burke claims the too-busy baby daddy has sent “nothing” since her birth. But if Law needs some inspiration, he can always consult the registry Burke has (listing her mother’s name for the father) at Babies “R” Us.

Big Brother is not the only one looking after CBS host Julie Chen and her husband, network head Les Moonves. After she announced in April that she was pregnant with her first child, the host reassured viewers: “I emailed my boss over there this weekend and I said, ‘Don't worry. I can still do the show!’” Chen continued to grow on the air until September 18, when her morning co-hosts threw her a surprise shower. But apparently, that wasn’t enough for Chen and Moonves, who registered at Petit Trésor . The couple asked for (and received) and $1,100 pram, but are still in need of a $255 “Moses basket.” On September 24, Chen gave birth to a baby boy named Charlie.

Tony Award-winner Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs met onstage in 1996, when they both starred in the Broadway musical Rent. They married seven years later in Jamaica, but thanks in part to busy careers, didn’t start a family until their announcement in March that they were expecting their first child. The pair welcomed their son, Walker, on September 2, and based on some of the items in their registry—a symphonic stacker, a star egg nightlight—they’re already grooming him for musical theater greatness.

Unlike the needy character she plays on Grey’s Anatomy, Ellen Pompeo is low-maintenance off-camera. In 2007, she married record producer Chris Ivery at New York's City Hall, and when the actress registered for baby gifts at Juvenile Shop, her choices were deeply practical—changing pads, bibs, and swaddling blankets. Thankfully, she received much of her wish list well in advance of her due date, thanks to a Los Angeles baby shower, thrown by co-star Katherine Heigl in August. On September 15, Pompeo and Ivery greeted Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery.

The Office’s most recent human-resources rep, Holly Flax, may have had her eye on Michael Scott, but the actress who played her, Amy Ryan recently had her first baby, Georgia Gracie Slovin, with fiancé Eric Slovin. And life will not imitate art for Ryan, who was nominated for an Academy Award in 2007 for her performance as a neglectful mother in Gone Baby Gone, as she registered for such secure items as a $60 stroller, a $55 high chair, and a $30 mini changer.

After Vogue editor Anna Wintour called Karolina Kurkova the “next supermodel,” her career took off. To help the model and her fiancé, Archie Drury, with the impending addition to their family, the couple registered for many gifts, ranging from the practical (an $18 toddler tub) to the whimsical (a Fisher-Price Zen Cradle Swing for $189).
