Hips don't lie. Photos of Katie Couric shaking her money maker surfaced this week on Gawker. The pictures, taken at a private party in 2006 on the night she debuted as anchor of the CBS Evening News, reveal a playful side of Couric. Said her spokesman: "Katie had a good time dancing with her daughters—they choreographed the dance and had fun doing it." And that's the way it is.

Dancing with Tony Manero himself can be intimidating, but not for John Travolta's wife, Kelly Preston who two-stepped with her man at a Scientology event in 2005. Twenty years earlier, Travolta hit the floor with Princess Diana at a gala dinner in Washington. It was a very public performance for a woman who, at 17, once wrote: "Watching me dance is like watching an elephant, so no-one does!"
