Tunisia continues to be dominated by tumult. Its second leader in 24 hours, the speaker of Parliament, came into power on Saturday amid street protests, looters, and a prison riot. The new leader, Fouad Mebazaa, vowed to create a unifying government—including Tunisia’s long-ignored opposition—organize elections within 60 days, and create an open political arena, “without exception nor exclusion.”
