Charles Koch & Deion Sanders Are Uniting to Fight Poverty
TACKLING POVERTY
There are 40 million people living in poverty across the United States—but no one can solve this problem alone. That’s why Pro Football Hall-of-Famer and Dallas native Deion Sanders is partnering with Koch Network non-profit Stand Together to help community-based organizations tackling poverty dramatically increase their reach and impact. Stand Together has vetted more than 2,000 non-profits and is partnering with 115 of the most effective organizations, helping nearly 2 million individuals overcome persistent poverty.
On Saturday, Stand Together announced the Giving Together Initiative to empower individuals to break the cycle of poverty in America. As part of this initiative, all donations of up to $1,000 will be matched up to a total of $10 million in individual donations throughout 2019. The group is challenging people across the country to make a difference by becoming social entrepreneurs in their own communities.
The Koch Network is dramatically increasing its partnerships to fight poverty at an entirely new scale. Learn more about the movement to help solve one of the nation’s toughest problems.
