Charlie Sheen’s boss is speaking up. CBS Corp. president and CEO Les Moonves offered his first public comments about Charlie Sheen on Tuesday, telling The Hollywood Reporter that he was unsure if Two and a Half Men would return. Moonves said Sheen is “on the air quite a bit these days… I wish he would have worked this hard to promote himself for an Emmy.” He claimed that suspending the show short-tem is “a gainer” for CBS financially, since repeats still generate revenue. “Doing eight [fewer] originals saves us quite a bit of money,” Moonves said. But, he added, “I'm not saying long-term I want this to go on.” Moonves also told THR that though he doesn’t know what will come of Two and a Half Men, but said: “I hope it's back. We'll see.”
