As the entire world watches Muammar Gaddafi’s regime collapse, now is probably not the best time to come out in support of the dictator. Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez said Tuesday that he will recognize only Gaddafi as Libya’s leader—no matter what happens with the rebels. Condemning the “imperial” motivations of NATO and the U.S., Chávez said that Western countries were trying to control Libya’s oil. "Getting the dogs to fight. Arming here, arming there, and later bombing it and we take that country," he said, characterizing the U.S.
