Olympic gold medalist Samuel Wanjiru, a Kenyan marathoner who won at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, fell to his death Sunday in what appears to be a suicide. Wanjiru ran into trouble last December for threatening to kill his wife, possession of an AK-47, and assault. His wife dropped the charges, but he was due in court for the weapons charges next week. He fell to his death after his wife returned home to find him with another woman. He was the youngest Olympic champion since 1932 and Kenya’s first marathon gold medalist.
