Celebrated Chicago chef Charlie Trotter was found unconscious by his son on Tuesday in his home and later was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The cause of death is not yet known, and no foul play is suspected, but an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. A tough boss, Trotter and his restaurant in Chicago achieved wide acclaim, including being named the best restaurant in the U.S. by Wine Spectator in 2000.
