One child was killed and at least 40 other people were injured when a bus carrying a youth football team overturned after running off an interstate in Arkansas early Monday, authorities said. According to Memphis TV station WMC, the bus was carrying an elementary-school-age football team from the Orange Mound Youth Association in Tennessee. Arkansas State Police say the bus was traveling to Memphis after the team played in a championship game in Dallas. Twenty-four patients who were transported Arkansas Children’s Hospital are in stable condition, a hospital spokeswoman said. The driver survived the crash and is being questioned by investigators, police said.
