China announced Sunday that a second man has died of bird flu after three days of intensive-care treatment in a hospital in the country’s southwest province of Guizhou. The 39-year-old began suffering from fever on Jan. 6, but the report did not say whether he had any recent contact with birds. The latest death comes after another 39-year-old man, a bus driver from the southern city of Shenzhen, died on New Year’s Eve.
