A teen believed to be high on the drug PCP went on a two-block shooting spree in Kansas City Wednesday evening, killing a Chinese missionary, police said. Curtrail Hudson, 18, now faces a second-degree murder charge in the death of Xindong Hao, who was in Kansas City with his wife and their four young children to study at the International House of Prayer, according to police. Friend Tony Petrehn said Hao, who was on a walk when he was killed, might not have understood warnings about the shooter because he did not speak English very well. “I hear he shot him point-blank,” Petrehn said. “It’s tragic. A father of four young kids pulled away like that.” Two others were injured in the incident. One woman who was mourning Hao’s death at the International House of Prayer spoke with the Kansas City Star but did not give her name, fearing retaliation from the Chinese government. “I was just thinking, ‘God protect me,’ because I always walk over there,” she told the newspaper.
