In response to a Telegraph report showing chlorine bombs used to kill children, British Foreign Secretary William Hague has called for a fact-finding mission from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). The chemical attacks were implemented via helicopter, and so far in the conflict, only the government forces have had access to aerial power. However, the Syrian government said the claim is a “baseless allegation.” The OPCW is the international body in charge of removing Syria’s declared chemical weapons stockpile, of which it says 92 percent has been removed.
