The visa application to tour in Australia for Chris Brown has been formally denied for grounds of character, the country’s immigration minister, Peter Dutton, announced. Brown famously pleaded guilty to beating his former girlfriend and fellow singer Rihanna in 2009. Brown will have 28 days to appeal. A newly appointed women’s minister, Michaelia Cash, declared on Thursday that Brown’s application would be looked at seriously and hinted that it would be denied.
