Chris Brown Mocks Kanye in Bizarre Video

In case you somehow missed it, Kanye West unveiled his latest Yeezy 2 clothing collection Wednesday during New York Fashion Week. Revealed to the sounds of a new single from the rapper, the designs—“zombie like” baggy tops paired with tight leggings and clunky boots—were widely panned as derivative and boring. But the show was, of course, the talk of the town, and the celebrities that came to support future president West were like a rundown of names from TMZ’s greatest headline hits.
Rapper Chris Brown wasn’t going to just roll over and be a Yes man, however, dropping this bizarre video to his 15 million Instagram followers mocking both the fashion and attendees. Opening with Caitlyn neé Bruce Jenner comparing the clothing to the Hunger Games’ dystopian garb, it quickly pans to Kanye himself as a puppet, who blathers “You’re gonna kick back and watch this shit like a movie, one Yeezy fit is like a thousand Guccis.” Which, with the rapper’s history of bizarre rants, may or may not be an actual quote. Last, we see Jay Z, who didn’t attend the actual event, saying what everyone else was thinking: “What kind of fucking outfit is this?”
Brown has been frenemies with the Kardashian crowd for a while, so it’s a little unclear if the video is meant as a dis or if he was just really stoned and thought it would be funny. He has been known to make snarky jabs at America’s de facto royal family, and display gaps in good judgment, such as reposting Snoop Dogg’s Caitlyn Jenner-dissing “science project” image, although he apologized soon after when taken to task by Jenner’s daughter.
More on this breaking news to come as we all eagerly await Kanye’s response.
