Producers of the highly anticipated Steve Jobs biopic from Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin have confirmed that Oscar-winner Christian Bale will play the iconic Apple CEO. According to Sorkin, Bale did not even audition for the role. “We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that’s Chris Bale,” Sorkin said. “He didn’t have to audition. Well, there was a meeting.” The film, which still does not have a name, is based on Walter Isaacson’s 2011 biography. Other actors reportedly in contention for the role were Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
