New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie announced a proposal Tuesday in New Hampshire to trim Social Security benefits for seniors with incomes of $80,000 or more. The possible presidential candidate would go even further for people making more than $200,000 per year, cutting them off Social Security benefits entirely. “Washington is afraid to have an honest conversation about Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid with the people of our country,” Christie said, according to prepared remarks. “I am not.”
