Chris Christie blasted Sen. Marco Rubio on Tuesday for his campaign ads attacking him. In an interview with The Washington Post, the New Jersey governor said he “couldn’t care less” about the ads, which slam him for aligning too closely with President Obama on gun control, health care, and Common Core education standards. “I just don’t think Marco Rubio’s going to be able to slime his way to the White House,” Christie told the Post. “He wants to put out a whole bunch of negative ads? Go ahead. I hope that he will acknowledge at some point that I couldn’t care less.” The ads are airing in New Hampshire, where Republican presidential candidates are battling for positioning before the Feb. 9 primary election.
