GTL: gym, taxes, and laundry. Could New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, said to be mulling a Republican presidential run, be alienating a key constituency even before he starts? Christie on Monday vetoed the so-called Snooki subsidy, a $420,000 tax credit for the reality show. He cited the state’s budget crunch as the main reason, but it’s no secret that Christie is not a fan of fist-pumping. "As chief executive, I am duty-bound to ensure that taxpayers are not footing a $420,000 bill for a project which does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens," Christie said in the letter. Meanwhile, the governor is in Southern California Tuesday for an address at the Reagan Library—a speech that will be closely watched for signs of a 2012 run.
