CIA detainees can sue the psychologists who designed the agency's torture techniques, a federal court ruled Friday, according to Los Angeles Times reporter Brian Bennett. Judge Justin Quackenbush of a federal court in Spokane, Wash., denied a motion to dismiss a lawsuit by three former CIA detainees and their families, who say the agency's psychologists Bruce Jessen and James Mitchell designed an interrogation program that promoted torture. The case is expected to reveal new information about the CIA's interrogation tactics in Afghanistan.
