Two male cleaners, aged 41 and 44, have been charged with the theft of hundreds of thousands of euros belonging to a pair of elderly sisters in France. They have been detained after a two-year investigation that began when the bodies of the sisters were found in their home outside Lyon in 2013. No foul play was suspected, but the two women had died four months earlier. Stashed in the house was nearly $437,000 in cash. One sister was a retired teacher, the other a former postal worker. The two had no children, and had amassed a fortune of $2 million.
