Hillary Clinton has clarified that she is indeed stepping down as Secretary of State, dispelling rumors that she might stay in her position if President Obama is reelected amid a slew of diplomatic disasters. Clinton reiterated her plan to step down after one term in an interview with The Washington Post published Friday. The Secretary of State said she’s “aiming to leave shortly after the inauguration,” though she said she hasn’t been able to have a thorough chat with the busy president. She added that she hoped his reelection “will be finalized shortly” and that they would then talk through her transition. Good luck getting a meeting.
